Automatic Directory Submission 3 of 3

Filed under: Interent — fworth @ 5:50 am

When using automated submission software, do not forget to set-up a temporary email account or an email re-direct. Practically all of the directories require a valid email account, some sites would not be added in a directory if there is no reply to a confirmation email. If you are using the email address of your client, the spam emails that would come from a directory submission might present an awkward situation with your client. So, do not forget to set-up an email re-direct to another account to handle confirmation emails.

If you intend on buying directory submission software, look out for those that have a document (with active links and information) on the websites available for submission. Good software regularly updates and removes websites and adds new ones as well.

For the web professional who submits to directories for a living, a directory submission tool is an invaluable and efficient assistant because any submission and its documentation can be made quick.
